The Medellín Session: Lukas
I’d been planning this trip to Colombia for a while, but there was one specific collaboration I wanted to lock in. I reached out to Lukas before I even packed my bags; I’ve always been drawn to his look, and I knew Medellín would be the perfect backdrop for the aesthetic I had in mind.
The moment I landed, I went straight to my Airbnb to set up my gear. A few hours later, the roar of an engine signaled he’d arrived. Lucas pulled up on a motorcycle, looking rad as he walked in with his helmet tucked under his arm. He had this natural, effortless energy that told me immediately we were going to get the shots I wanted.
From the balcony to the shower, to everything else
We started the session by the balcony windows to take advantage of the natural light. I had him pose in simple white underwear; the contrast against the city view was exactly what I’d envisioned. Lukas was a natural—he knew how to move, and the chemistry between my lens and his angles was instant.
But as the sun dipped, we started pushing the boundaries of the space. We moved the shoot into the bathroom, where I had him get into the shower with his clothes on. As soon as he turned on the water, the vibe shifted. The fabric became transparent, clinging to his bulge and revealing everything. The sound of the water hitting the tile was the only thing filling the space as I kept the shutter clicking.
From there, the momentum didn't stop. We moved from the shower back into the main living area, chasing the light. We kept going, capturing every angle and every sliver of skin, moving through the apartment until there was literally nothing left to show.
